As I traversed a narrow forest during our family vacation in Albay, Bicol, I have seen this large fruit that glows radiantly as the warm sunshine touches its surface. Upon sitting down near to this breadfruit or Artocarpus altilis, the dried, withered leaves and branches surrounding it gave a crackling and crunchy sound. Then, I paused for a while and realized that it was the cries of the trees and other plants to save them. We enjoy our lives as colorful and as vibrant as the Breadfruit is. But actually, we are surrounded by the reality that the Biodiversity starts to wilt and die as well.
